Infrastructure Updates

Chagrin River Road Update:  Chagrin River Road will be open maintaining single lane traffic (at Culvert 38 south of Fairmount Blvd.) during working hours (between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday) thru November 18, 2011. 

The Village received the necessary Army Corp of Engineers permit on 11/1/11 for excavation and cleaning which started on 11/2/11 with completion estimated by 11/21/11. 

Chagrin River bank sheet pile wall stabilization project:

Phase II schedule to be announced. 

The sheet pile project has been completed to 95% at this time.  Phase II (Rip Rap and Vegetation installtion-SWIF Grant) which will occur on the Chagrin River side of the sheet pile project is scheduled for completion by spring 2012.

Fairmount Blvd. Restoration and Widening:

Fairmount Blvd. is scheduled for improvements and widening from Chagrin River Road west for a distance of approximately 4000 lineal feet.  This will improve the narrowest portion of Fairmount Blvd. regarding safety and traffic flow.  Work is scheduled for the spring of 2012 with completion fall of 2012.  Further details will be posted as they become available.
